Class:From Photo, to Pattern, to Quilt, Nov. 9th (Monday) at Quilter’s Studio at 364 Main Street in Longmont, CO.10am to 5pm$60.00 with $7.00 pattern fee.Learn how to turn a photograph into a pattern and then into a quilt in this technique class.Also learn how to make an artist’s facing to finish the edges.You will learn the process by making “Rocky Mountain Sunrise” (25” x 20”) using the fused appliqué technique.
Class:Painting Calla Lilies, Nov. 16th (Monday) at Quilter’s Studio 364 Main Street in Longmont, CO.10am to 5pm$60.00 plus $12.00 kit fee.This is your chance to try fabric painting without having to purchase all the supplies first.Learn a few simple controlled painting techniques to create 3 dramatic calla lilies on an 8 ½” x 11” project.We will be using Setacolor textile paints in three layers.You will start with the basic flower shapes cut out of fabric and then paint on the details. You will be working from a kit provided in class and using my paints, brushes, and mediums.

Mountain Chapel has won the Best Wall QuiltAward in the 2009 American Quilter's Society's Quilt Show held annually in Paducah, KY.
Mountain Chapel has won the Best Pictorial Quilt award at the Road to California Quilter’s Conference 2009 in Ontario, CA.
Fruit for the Wine won the 1st Place Award in the On The Wall Quilts catagory at the AQS 2008 Quilt Expo in Nashville, Tennessee.

I will be speaking and teaching for the Miami Valley Quilt Guild in Fairborn, Ohio, August 11, 12, and 13, 2009. Lecture will be on August 11th at the Fairborn Senior Citizens Center at 325 N. The Southern Hills Art Council will be presenting a solo show of my quilts at the Markay Cultural Arts Center, located at 269 East Main Street in Jackson, Ohio 45640. Show dates are October 2nd through November 8th, 2009. The opening reception will be on October 2nd, at 7:00 pm, when I will give a short gallery talk on my processes.
